iPhone Update & News on the Android Beta

iPhone App Version 1.0.3

The Sports Tracker iPhone app was updated end of last week. The update features bug fixes and one new feature: Bright Day Mode for tracking.

iPhone Sports Trackers can now easily switch to the Bright Day Mode while tracking to get a white background with black text for better visibility while tracking under bright conditions.

Head to the App Store on your iPhone to get the update!

Android Beta Progress Report

Thanks to our amazingly active Android-testers we’ve made significant progress with the app and will submit a new build for testing in the next few days. We will also choose more testers from those who have signed up and will also choose a few new testers from our Facebook Fans and Twitter followers…keep your eyes open…

If everything goes well and no major bugs are found we expect to have the app finalized very very soon. Fingers crossed!

Wow, what a quality it is! As mostly YouTube video clips have no good quality, however this is really a pleasant quality video.

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation? My blog has a lot of unique content I’ve either written myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my permission. Do you know any techniques to help stop content from being stolen? I’d genuinely appreciate it.

I’ve got a friend with an iPhone I persuaded to start using your excellent app, but she was disappointed to see that the Polar Bluetooth belt is not compatible with the iPhone. Is this just a technical issue you are working on, or is it due to some weird Apple proprietary issue that is unfixable?

When will Sports-Tracker application be available for iPad? iPhone app is quite limited and too small for big screen and web version is useless because of flash…

Is it even possible to have Polar paired up with iPhone? I’ve heard iPhone Bluetooth is pretty limited..

Lap times are shown correctly on the web, but are shown totally incorrect on the iPhone view.

      It’s the same for me. iOS 4.3.1 Sports-Tracker v. 1.0.3

Lap times totally wrong few minutes after the end of the work-out. It’s a single bug for this fantastic app, but it’s very annoying.
I will wait for the bug fixing ;)

Would be nice if the Android-app could be finisheds soon. I have recently replaced my Nokia N97 mini and instead I´m using a Samsung Galaxy S 2 and I really miss Sports-tracker now…

I’ve really got into using the symbian app more often, for the commute to work and it’s encouraging me to run more too, which is good! Using the polar HR monitor makes the data even more useful. I even just used it on a touch rugby session and just staying within the parameters of a football pitch I can track how far I ran and average and max speeds. It’s really interesting.
I’m planning on getting a new phone soon, so the android app would be great, allowing me to continue with the systems I’ve gotten used to. Maybe even using it more!

I would LOVE to be a beta Android tester. The app I currently used (and paid for) doesn’t begin to measure up to Sports Tracker! Makes me (almost) want to put my sim card into my N97 Mini for my morning exercising…Pleeeeeeeease hurry! Kthnxbai.

It’s a closed beta. What do you guys don’t understand about it? It was up to the ST team to choose who they wanted to be part of it. At least they’re delivering a fully free application, so there’s nothing to moan about. Like ST team said, they’re going to invite more testers in the next days. Follow them via twitter and facebook and maybe you’ll get a chance.

I would really like to be considered as an android tester. I am currently training for the 3 day Susan G. Komen 60 mile walk and I am currently up to 7 miles a day. I think I would be a great candidate for testing. I used to have this application on my Nokia Nuron and loved it until I changed providers. I am very excited and can’t wait for the Android release.
