Our long-time friend, ultra runner Jukka Viljanen, has today started his most ambitious adventure to date: To run across the Sahara Desert solo. That’s a world first that one if and when he succeeds. We have no doubt as to if he will succeed – so much so that we are supporting the challenge with Nokia by helping Jukka track and share his amazing adventure using Sports Tracker and a Nokia E5!
By heading to saharachallenge2012.com you can follow Jukka on his 2000km 35 day adventure. The site features daily updates of the progress of the run with maps and data as well as the latest notes, pictures and greets from Jukka. You can also cheer him on via by commenting on the site and on Twitter and Facebook.
The whole Sports Tracker team is rooting for our friend: RUN JUKKA RUN!! :)
