The World’s First Solo Run Across the Sahara Desert tracked with Sports Tracker

Our long-time friend, ultra runner Jukka Viljanen, has today started his most ambitious adventure to date: To run across the Sahara Desert solo. That’s a world first that one if and when he succeeds. We have no doubt as to if he will succeed – so much so that we are supporting the challenge with Nokia by helping Jukka track and share his amazing adventure using Sports Tracker and a Nokia E5!

By heading to saharachallenge2012.com you can follow Jukka on his 2000km 35 day adventure. The site features daily updates of the progress of the run with maps and data as well as the latest notes, pictures and greets from Jukka. […] Sports Tracker began life on Nokia Mobile devices and has since branched out onto other platforms outside the Nokia space. But it’s still a top app favourite by Nokians. Urbanista part of it being more of a travelling holiday and not as gruelling as this next expedition. https://blog.sports-tracker.com/2012/01/06/the-world%E2%80%99s-first-solo-run-across-the-sahara-d… […]
