New iPhone app v.3.6 with Health integration available

5 December 2014 iPhone, Releases 7 Comments

A new version of our iPhone app with integration to Apple Health is available for download. This release also includes some great improvements to the altitude information.

Apple Health integration

With the Apple Health you get all your health and fitness information in one place. We’ve made it easy for you, just go to Sports Tracker settings and turn on Health. In the Health settings (Health data / Fitness) you can then choose what to see. Currently you can pick between active calories, cycling distance and walking+running distance.

Improved altitude info

This is for all our friends in the mountains! You can now follow the cumulative altitude gain and loss (ascent/ descent) during your workout, a valuable info when biking, hiking or skiing in the mountains. The info is shown on the second screen while tracking. The actual current altitude is moved to the altitude graph.

In addition, if you’re a lucky owner of an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, you will get more accurate altitude data, thanks to the barometric sensor in your phone and our added support. This feature is available for our Premium subscribers.

What’s new in version 3.6

• Apple Health integration
• Barometer support (iPhone 6 / 6 Plus): get more accurate altitude values (Premium)
• Ascent/Descent: follow the cumulative elevation gain during workout
• Redeem voucher: you can now redeem Premium vouchers directly in the app

For media

• Press release: Sports Tracker adds integration with Apple Health (DOC)

Happy tracking!

I have a lot of training sessions recorded in Sports-Tracker. Does these old sessions get integrated with Apple Health Kit as well or just a new ones after connection with Health kit is done?

At least I haven’t been able to get the old data into Health kit.

Hi Teemu, thanks for the feedback. It’s just the new workouts that are synced with it.

Can your own Sports-Tracker Heart Rate Monitor 2 be used with Apple Health? I can’t seem to figure out how, Heart Rate in Apple Health shows no data.

    • Katja/ team Sports Tracker says:

Hi Fred, no the monitor works only with our app. Sorry!
