Riviera morning run!
This is absolute the best moment to enjoy the last of the summer days under the Mediterrenian sun! And the French Riviera has always been my favorite summer location, so it was a high time to return there, this time to Nice. The Promenade des Anglais is the legendary beach boulevard, reminds me a bit of Rio’s Copacabana and SoBe’s Ocean Drive: a PERFECT location for jogging! And seeing lots of people doing that, it’s very tempting as well.
So, on the Sunday morning I jumped up and headed to live the dream! Once again, I do this only to live the dream & enjoy the glamour – not to hit any records. It was raining a bit but nevermind, I was in heaven, sorry, Nice! My Saturday night at the Negresco’s lounge took its toll, as well as my umbrella, in a half walk & run I experienced another waking up city, beautiful…
People are asking about my gear, you can see the shoes I used this time (light to travel with), and I think NEON colors are the true colors of speed! The 80′s fun, baby…
This time my soundtrack was Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi feat. Jack White: “ROME” – suited perfectly, though a bit “wrong location”…
Tell me what’s your ultimate GLAMOUR jogging location! Maybe I’ll be there next time! ![]()

Stockholm Sleaze!
The 69 Eyes will record the next album in Stockholm. After Hollywood that’s the only place to do that. Stockholm’s been like the second home for The 69 Eyes ever since we started. I actually hang there nearly more often than in Helsinki these days.
Being all the weekend in the demo studio and DJing in the nights needs a lot of energy, so I needed to re-charge myself before by running a bit. I found this perfect island in the center to do that. I will do this everytime in town in the future too…J69
We’ll Meet Again…
I can’t believe that we’ve been on the road non-stop for over two years. The last 69 Eyes show for a while was in the beautiful countryside location, so it was my chance to go to run into the woods a bit. The show was actually very good from my point of view and the crowd was great too.
I don’t know if I should be a bit sad or not, I know I’ll be going to miss touring soon but it’s a time to make a new album, so see you guys in 2012! J69
Undead in Barcelona!
I was home only like a couple of days and then back to the sky and to have a Mediterrenian summer weekend in Barcelona. I was invited to DJ at Barcelona’s fangtastic Goth club UNDEAD. I love that club and all my friends there.
What a great weekend. But I wanted to run around also a bit but because of the heat and my tight schedule, I only went a small tour but enjoyed another great park again! Muy bien, J69
New Orleans by the Dawn…
My summer’s been one of the best ones by far. It’s been free, nearly any shows for The 69 Eyes. So, I’ve been travelling on my own and DJing around. And finally now in New Orleans! This city is pure magick, I love it so much and it’s been always been inspiring me alot.
Since my visit was pretty short and I was busy having my Fangtasia Vampire Ball and even going to see the N.Y.Dolls/Poison/Mötley Crüe show in Biloxi, I ended up doing my jogging or actually more like walking tour in the very last morning. But what a morning! Once again, I really envy you people who are able to do your morning jogging by the Mississippi, such an incredible place. I thought it was better to go by the Royal Street, since it was such an early morning, I didn’t want to run into any party people most likely just leaving from the Bourbon Street joints…See y’all soon! J69
On the Midnight Sun Trail in Lapland!
This must be the most Northern place The 69 Eyes has ever played: Kiruna in Swedish Lapland. I was a bit afraid of mosquitoes disturbing my jogging to the fell but luckily I dind’t really see any. Once again, I got so much energy from this to our show at the festival.
If you check out from my Sports Tracker page and “Data view”, you can notice that I was on 750 metres high on the fell. Good times, J69
Goodbyes to Peter Pan…
I needed to go to say my farewells for a while to Peter Pan, so it was time to return to the Hyde Park. How much I envy you guys who can jog around there every day!
I will be back soon London, maybe you run into me then! J69
Sunday Sunny Sunday!
I DJed at the Intrepid Fox all night & “naturally” ended up to Soho too later to the Decadance Club (Cheers, mates!) but I didn’t want to miss a beautiful Sunday either. So, back into neon and out! I was jogging a bit but it was such a prefect day for just a total detox recovery walk, the Green Park was its best blooming the most amazing gardens and flower fields! I was listening to some Aerosmith
and getting ready for the day’s Hard Rock Calling Festival…J69
First Blood in Hyde Park!
What a great place to start my Sports Tracker blogs than from London’s Hyde Park! So, I slipped into my neon jogging gear headed to the park…Ooops, since it is the weekend of Hard Rock Calling Festival there, it was already full of Bon Jovi fans going to the festival. Yeah, I was that neon runner if you saw me! I will be going to the festival as well tomorrow to see Adam Ant
Stevie Nicks
& Rod Stewart!!!
I took easy and went briefly around the Serpent. Mind you, I’m not that much into speed or lenght, I’m more into these amazing places I have a priviledge to jog around! Would you join me next time in London? J69
